"This, of course, meant using the extra pixels to represent more faithful and accurate gore."
Personal Nightmare was published by Horror Soft Ltd. in 1989. It is the third game covered on Hex Crank. It is more associated with survival horror than any of the previous games covered onHex Crank, mainly Haunted House. This is the first game covered on //Hex Crank that has a full story to it and has better ties to why what is happening is happening than previous titles on the blog. Still, Kole criticizes the writing as not on the level with text-based adventure games. And he criticizes the game's systems as they were "too baroque to be treated as a LucasArts-style game". He suggests picking up better survival horror games that are along side personal Nightmare on GOG. Kole didn't finish this game.
