Summary
Gary is happy that they're finally doing a Game Boy game. They discuss Game Boy screens, and the huge number of shitty Game Boy games. The game is a platformer with random Ren and Stimpy elements sprinkled into the game. Gary and Kole love Ren and Stimpy. Kole's parents didn't give a shit what he watched. Kole talks about his coworker whom used to storyboard for Ren and Stimpy. Kole and Gary also like Rocko's Modern Life to a lesser extent. Gary and Kole watched Nick Jr., Gary because he had nothing to do when he was at his dad's house, and Kole was in Kindergarten. They talk about the "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence" scene from Ren and Stimpy. They discuss their favorite moments from Ren and Stimpy. This brings them into a conversation about domestic violence, which is funny on Ren and Stimpy but not in real life. They talk more about the plethora of shitty licensed games on Game Boy. This leads into a discussion about how companies like THQ and Ubisoft will do good games like Saints Row and Splinter Cell, but make their money on endless shit.
Gary does some Monday morning quarterbacking about how a good game could be based on the "Space Madness" episode of Ren and Stimpy. They actually talk about the game for a bit; it's a terrible licensed platformer. Gary isn't sure if the game is actually beatable; they got stuck even with savescumming. Gary tells a story about being a little smelly kid at the ren faire. Kole talks about the prairie fair. Kole talks about Malabar farm, Gary jokes that it's where Mallomars are grown for the first time in this podcast. Gary talks about going to Medieval Times, and suggests doing a WOFF episode about it.
Gary reads GameFAQs reviews, they get annoyed that many people call it a 6/10, and many people like this game. Kole does his impressions of Ren and Stimpy. Gary talks about the FAQ for the game, which is a perfectly good FAQ, by a guy who did 94 FAQs for almost all terrible games. Kole gets freaked out at the idea that someone is doing these FAQs for them. Gary brings up the grating music in the game.
At least this game is in environments that are truer to the source material than the Wayne's World game. Kole gets some laughs on the table of contents keywords in a GameFAQ. They discuss GameFAQs, and the work that goes into a FAQ.
Gary asks for more suggestions.
